Lunch Count
My newest pinterest inspired creation! I'll write lunch choices on the strips (dry erase) and then students will move their number under their choice. I put magnets on the back so this will be on a white board. Can also be used to take attendance! Love it!!

Peach Cobbler
Nick asked if I could make him peach cobbler; which I had never made or tasted before so I was a little hesitant but I set out in search of a recipe and boy did I find a great one so I thought I'd share it with you! Sadly, I can't remember where I found this to give credit where it's due. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family and I did!
This sure was yummy!

Peach
Cobbler
Ingredients:
·
1 stick (4 ounces) butter, melted
·
1 cup plus 3 tablespoons granulated sugar, divided
·
1 cup all-purpose flour
·
2 teaspoons baking powder
·
1/4 teaspoon salt
·
1 cup milk
·
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
·
3 to 4 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, thinly sliced
·
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Preparation:
Heat
oven to 375°.
Pour melted
butter into a 2-quart baking dish (11x7 or 8-inch square). In a mixing bowl,
combine 1 cup of the sugar, the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir to blend.
Stir in the milk and vanilla until blended. Pour the batter over the melted
butter. Toss the peaches with the remaining 3 tablespoons of sugar and 1/2
teaspoon of cinnamon. Arrange the peach slices over the batter. Bake for 25 to
30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. The
top will be browned and the cake will begin to pull away from the sides of the
pan. Serve warm with a little heavy cream, whipped topping, or a scoop of
vanilla ice cream.

Getting the Itch
This is my first blog so hang in there with me! Even though there are still three weeks until I have to report back to school I'm getting that anxious feeling that comes at the beginning of the year to get into my classroom and start to get things ready. Unfortunately, they are still cleaning my room and possibly painting it. What's an anxious teacher to do? Well, I've been baking and spending my days on Pinterest! Thank you to my fellow bloggers for having such amazing free things available to teachers!
